Jerry Pellegrino, Owner

Executive Chef Jerry Pellegrino of Corks Restaurant is fascinated by food and wine, and the way they work in harmony on the palate. His understanding of the two goes all the way to the molecular level, drawing on his advanced education in molecular biology. His cuisine is simple and surprising, pairing unexpected ingredients together to work with Corks’ extensive wine offerings. Under his direction, Corks has been named one of Baltimore’s top 50 restaurants ever year since opening in 1997 and has been given “The Wine Spectator” award of excellence. Jerry is also the co-host of WYPR’s food program Radio Kitchen.

Jesse Sandlin, Executive Chef

Baltimore native Jesse Sandlin spent 13 years working in professional kitchens from Maryland to Australia. She initially developed her passion for food while working for Paragary’s Restaurant Group in California under Andrew Tescher and Kurt Spataro. Since her return to Baltimore, Jesse has been an integral leader in several top kitchens in the city. Her unique cuisine highlights local and seasonal ingredients while bringing an innovative twist to European flavors and techniques.

Greta Clausen, General Manager

Originally from North Dakota, Greta Clausen has been living in Baltimore since 2000. She has more than 15 years of restaurant experience including positions ranging from line cook to fromagier to general manager. Greta has worked directly under several master chefs (including some James Beard Award winners) from California to North Carolina. With a B.S. degree in culinary management, Greta’s experienced team brings the highest quality service in Baltimore’s theater district.
